Biography

 

      Eileen Hagerman Nistler     

Eileen was born and raised in the beautiful Inyan Kara area of the Black Hills. She left for seventeen years to pursue an education and short career as an architect. Then the magic of Wyoming called her back. She now lives in the house that she drew her first drawings in. She lives  with her husband Tom and two of their three kids on the family ranch between Sundance and Upton, Wyoming.  Their oldest daughter Brenna graduated from college with a degree in art education in 2010.   Brenna and her husband Emmanuel made Tom and Eileen grandparents in January 2011 with a beautiful baby girl.

Some of Eileen's most prestigious awards include; The Artist's magazine finalist 2007 and 2011;  five Paint America Juror's Choice awards; International Artist magazine finalist  three times, October/November 2009, second place April/May issue 2010 and April/May 2011; drawing in the book Strokes of Genius volume II, and the Colored Pencil Society of America - Explore This! - 2010 Award of Exceptional Merit.  Eileen has earned Signature status with the Colored Pencil Society of America as well as a five year award.  She is also very proud to be one of the first two to have reached Signature Status - Master Circle with Paint America in 2008.
